Anime Boston
On Friday, April 18th, 2003, we set off on our Anime Con journey. Ruby Dragon(my sis), Sammie(my daughter), and I(Animefreak)got into the car and headed to Boston. Of course with directions in hand. Although since those directions were bad, we got lost. After some time we found our way there. We then got lost trying to find the street the Con was on. Asked a guy for the street and got pointed in the right direction.
We had arrived! Now for the fun. We saw people in costume right away. I think the hotel staff was quite amused. We got upstairs and finally found the line for registration. After an Hour and a half later, we were registered.
So, first stop was a panel. The feature of the weekend was all the main voice actors from Gundam Wing. So, the panel I wandered into was one of those. Chang wufei's voice actor,Ted Cole, was very forth coming to the questions asked him. He also does the voice of Boss on Hamtaro, and yes one of the crowd actually got him to do the hamster dance.
Next the kids were bored and we headed off to the Dealer Room. We had to wait, but not long. So, we wandered through and bought a few things. The kids were bored again, so it was off to look around. We checked out a few of the video rooms and another panel(not that interested). I also picked up some more Con info for the Conlist(I'll add em).

Next we headed upstairs in the dizzyingly fast elevator. Someone was signing autographs. We didn't join the line. We headed down the hall to the Clubhouse, with a small stop at the website panel(I was too advanced for that lol). There we sat and watched some other Con-goers play Dance, Dance Revolution on a laptop. Then I started talking to the guy running the fanfic panel about fanfics and websites. Then we headed off and Ruby Dragon found the karaoke room. After several songs and Sammie attacking the Moogle's arm lol. We got to watch a hilarious rendition of Excel's Saga's closing theme. Which if you don't know is Menchi the dog barking with a japanese translator. This guy did the extended version. It was funny. Sammie was bored, so we wandered around the video rooms there. Stopped in and watched a bit of Lupin 3rd. We went back to the karaoke room to fetch Ruby Dragon who refused to leave and was eventually dragged along. We wandered some and I tried to go to the fanfic panel, but the kids dragged me down the hall. Back downstairs we went. I then had said it was time to go, so the kids wanted to roam the Dealer Room one last time. On the way we stopped in to a panel with Kirby Morrow, another voice actor. He did a few voices for the crowd, then we headed off to the Dealer Room. We bought a few more things then decided it was time to go, but not before a few more pics. Oh and a stop in to see how Anime Name that Tune was faring. And a quick wander into Spirited Away, which I dragged the kids out of.

Now this is an interesting pic. Originally supposed to be just of Yuna, but Sammie somehow got in on it lol.
We bought some water for the return trip home at the gift shop(it was in the hotel). Packed up everything for the walk to the car, as Sammie(who complained she was tired) ran around the table six times. Off to the car then home we went.
